Our orphans must be moved immediately.
Militants who murdered the Christian children and their families 2 days ago in their church are heading in the direction of our orphanage.
They are only a few miles away.
Our facility is NOT secure. We have found a secure place in the city where we can move 80 of them. The cost is $600/month + $50 to get the bus to move them.
We maxed out our bank account 2 weeks ago to plow and plant the new farm. So, we need help NOW.
This isn't a drill. It's real and it's an immediate, deadly danger.

Current Goals
Met the food and supply needs after an influx of children seeking care at the orphanage, due to the ongoing invasion and instability in the region. Read more about this here.
The majority of our children must leave our facility shelter and return to the dangerous streets because we don't have adequate housing. Consequently, we are raising funds to expand so they can remain in the safety of the compound.
We continue to go into the streets of Bunia to reach children who need schooling, as well as families that don't have the funds to send their children to school.
Annual Benefit Banquet in Congo
Every year in May, UFSC hosts a local benefit for the orphanage in Congo. In May 2023, Gyslaine and Fredrick were able to attend and celebrate with the volunteers and children.

Shipping Project
In May 2023, a school in Boston donated desks to UFCS, which are now in use at the school. Photo is Gyslaine inside the shipping container with the desks and tables about to be shipped to UFCS.
The children are so thankful for the desks. Up until this point, they had been sitting on the hard floor for their lessons.
